Since 2010 I've been stitching up alternative embroidery & sewing under the persona of Scavenger Annie. A name that emerged from a character I used to play in my old museum job and my family's history with the cotton mills in Lancashire (my grandad worked as a scavenger - cleaning the mill machines as a child and worked his way up to being a spinner). As an alternative seamstress & embroiderer I'm inspired by vintage patterns of the 40s, 50s and 60s, tattoos, rock music, steampunk, kawaii & geekery. Here are some of the threads that I've stitched up over the years. Click on the photo to scroll through the Scavenger Annie gallery of threads.
